The most important topic of this column and this month's newsletter is that Convergence Registration is now open. As you may know, Convergence scheduled for March 18-21 is the annual conference for Dynamics customers. It attracts Users, Partners, Vendors and, of course, Microsoft Dynamics personnel. Last year almost 9,000 US and international people attended. You can save $300 if you register by January 25th. The weather in Houston should be nice in mid-March. AND Daughtry will be performing at the Saturday night opening celebration event. Our Year End Lunch n Learn at U S Pizza in December was well attended. We reviewed the year end processes for the Dynamics GP modules and focused primarily on Payroll, W-2s, Accounts Payable, and 1099s. We hope you benefited from this event. It was good to see familiar faces as well as new ones!!
As I mentioned in my last column, we expected to close 2011 with a bang. We did and 2011 was our biggest revenue year ever. We're not ready to announce the two large customers, but we're excited about them. Stay tuned...
REACH demonstrated success in other areas too. While other Dynamics Partners are closing their doors because they can't meet the minimal Microsoft Dynamics Partner requirements, REACH renewed our relationship with Microsoft as a Gold Partner. The requirements to be a Gold Partner were raised again this year, but we were able to clear the bar with a little room to spare. We have been a Gold Partner since 2004!
Progressive Media Group's Bob Scott's Insights selected REACH-Solutions as a winner of its 2011 VAR Stars award. Only one hundred resellers in the U S are selected each year for this honor. This is the second year for REACH to be part of this elite group.
We still find evidence that customers are contacting our Analysts directly for support instead of contacting our Support Desk via email (csr@reach-solutions.net) or phone(501-664-1180 X2). If you bypass the desk, your issue may get buried in the busy Analysts' email. We appreciate your cooperation.
One of my favorite blogs is from Mark Polino who always presents at Convergence. He's the originator of the 50 Tips in 50 Minutes sessions. Recently he posted a great article about "The Worst Mistakes You Can Make With Microsoft Dynamics GP". You can find Mark's content at http://msdynamicsgp.blogspot.com. There is a lot of good content on the Internet for all Dynamics Customers to consume. You can find it on blogs, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Dynamics Online Community, User Groups....you name it!
